Most effective delivery method for CBD and CBD oil

If swallowed immediately, there will be benefit, but the kidneys filter out some of the CBD oil. For maximum benefit, let the CBD oil absorb through the interior lining of the mouth:

  1. Squeeze a full dropper of CBD (CBN) oil under the tongue.
  2. Use your tongue to coat the inside of your mouth with CBD oil.
  3. Pause for 1-2 minutes, then swallow.

Starting Protocol for CBD oil

Start with a large dose (1 full dropper). Determine if the patient’s body responds well to CBD.

If the patient receives 4-6 hours of relief, you found a therapeutic level. Then, the patient can titrate down until they continue to receive 4-6 hours of relief with the least amount of CBD to make the bottle last longer.

If the patient receives less than 4 hours of relief, titrate up until the patient feels 4-6 hours of relief.

Note: This is the opposite recommendation as medical marijuana. Med Blend products do not contain THC, so the protocol of start low, go slow does not apply. Patients who start with low doses often quit before they find a therapeutic dose.

Starting Protocol for CBN oil

Start with a large dose (1 full dropper). Determine if the patient’s body responds well to CBN.

If the patient receives 6+ hours of calm sleep, you found a therapeutic level. Then, the patient can titrate down until they continue to receive 6 hours of relief with the least amount of CBN to make the bottle last longer.

If the patient receives less than 6 hours of relief, titrate up until the patient feels 6+ hours of relief.

Note: This is the opposite recommendation as medical marijuana. Med Blend products do not contain THC, so the protocol of start low, go slow does not apply. Patients who start with low doses often quit before they find a therapeutic dose.

Healing Balm vs Pain Stick

Healing Balm and Pain Stick have the same amounts of CBD and CBG. The difference is personal preference of using a salve versus a roll on. Many patients prefer the Healing Balm because they want to rub the salve into their hands, joints and muscles. Athletes tend to use the Pain Stick because roll ons are commonly used in the gym or on the field.

Most effective delivery method for Healing Balm and Pain Stick

Rub the topical directly over the localized pain area. Also rub the topical where the pain radiates.

For maximum benefit, combine a topical with CBD oil. Some pain receptors are deeper than a topical can reach and the combination of the topical with CBD oil can provide more comprehensive pain relief.
